Thank you for your recent telephone call regarding Anastasia's 1998 tours. I won't be going on any of them, because on 25 October I married Sofia Mironova (6V-442) of Obninsk, Kaluga oblast, Russia. I ordered her name and address from Anastasia just a year ago. She answered my letter by email on Christmas morning, 1996. We made arrangements to meet when I arrived in Moscow at Leningradskii vokzal on 27 March, and I filed a fiancée visa application for her on my return. Sonia and her daughter arrived in New York on 14 August.
I know I couldn't have found a wife like Sonia here. She's sweet, has a great sense of humor, comes from good family and has a fine education from the Moscow Cultural Institute, one of the former USSR's best universities. We share many interest, and she is a soul-mate in the truest sense. She's also a joy to look upon, and is not troubled by the 17 year age difference between us. Her daughter Alyena is a beautiful, smart and healthy little girl with a great future in America.
Needless to say, I'm very happy that I picked up the phone to order Anastasia's catalogue, and was very lucky that I received the edition with Sonia's photo and profile. It's interesting to reflect that her future and mine were wonderfully transformed by this simple telephone call.
